I Write Like a Girl
BookBlog is featuring a little toy called the Gender Genie. Based on an algorithm designed to link syntax and word choice with gender, the Genie is supposed to be able to intuit an author’s sex based on a sample of their writing.
Of my eighteen blog entries so far, it only pegged five of them as male. I take some comfort, however, in the 50/50 accuracy rating that the program is getting from users — you could flip a quarter and be about as sure of someone’s gender based on a random text sample. Some of the commentary about the program on BookBlog also points out technical deficiencies in the Genie’s algorithm, but it’s still fun to play with. Go on, tell all your friends! Then enjoy calling them “butch babe” or “girlie man” as needed.

Anomalous, I say!!!
;-)
(you know I love you!)

It says I’m male. But “the” is a masculine word?
I suppose girls use “a really cute” instead.
I walked by the bum. - male
I walked by a really cute bum. -female
