Coming Attractions
First of all, I’m sorry for the long absence. I’ve had to concentrate on my offline life for a little while, and blogging just had to take a backseat while I helped with someone’s wedding, moved, and dealt with a backlog at work. The backlog and the move are ongoing, but I swear I’ll come back to this Real Soon Now. And get this, dear readers: not only will you once again have the chance to enjoy my smooth prose, sparkling wit, and (of course) inspiring humility, but you will also get some spiffy new features to help you satisfy all your online time-wasting needs. For example…
- the photoblog — That’s right, I’m sliding ever-further down the slippery slope of blogger exhibitionism by putting up a photoblog, Low Pass Filter. Surely it’s only a matter of time until we have the Live Nude Adamcam. Then again, maybe not.
- the new design — The templates that I’m using were great to get me started, but I think it’s time to put my own fingerprint on the look of the site. You can expect an all-new layout to appear here sometime in the next month or so. Hopefully it will help give the site a distinctive, appealing new face.
- the wanton self-promotion — I’ll be adding the usual “about me” page, but that’s just the beginning of my devious scheme <twirls imaginary mustache>. I’ll also be including links to other online projects that I am or have been involved in, my Ryze profile, and sundry other me-stuff around the web.
- the eBay page — This escapes the “wanton self-promotion” category by virtue of the fact that it’s someone else’s stuff I’m selling. My mother just got married to a very nice man with an extensive record, book, and baseball card collection, and there’s no room for it in the new house. He was going to yard-sale it all, but I suggested eBay as a more lucrative alternative. Actually, I believe my exact words may have been “You fool, don’t sell that US Armed Forces Radio LP with the Paul McCartney interview for a buck to some bargain hunter! Do you have any idea what a collector would pay for that??” After I calmed down and apologized, he suggested that I be his “eBay broker” for a percentage since he didn’t have the foggiest how to go about it. We’ve done a good bit of business so far, and there’s a lot more stuff to sell. Look for a special page giving the latest listings.
- and oh-so-much more… when I think of it
So there you have it. I haven’t fallen off the edge of the earth, I’ve just been really busy. Regular updates to this site will recommence soon, with a lot of cool new stuff coming along for the ride. I hope this little update has whetted your appetite for more and that I’ll see you back here soon. I also hope it will stop certain people from posting comments to previous entries demanding to know what’s happened to me (uh, Jen you do have my private e-mail address you know).

Of course I have your private email address, but that’s not nearly as much fun as harassing you in public. ;p
