Congratulations, Nika!
Nika’s thesis got the thumbs-up earlier this week, and she’s getting her Masters of Criminal Justice degree this month. Congratulations!
She still has to defend her thesis in front of a panel at 2pm (Central Time) today, which will determine what kind of grade she passes with, so if you happen to read this before then be sure and send some good-luck vibes her way.
Update: The thesis defense was supposed to be a two-hour ordeal. Nika called me at 2:25pm and said, “Guess who just became the first woman in the history of her department to ace her thesis defense in less than an hour?!” To my favorite future law enforcer, and once of the smartest girls I know — congratulations. And thanks for never actually stabbing me with a fork.
