Here’s one I didn’t see coming: According to The Command Post, a group of U.S. Vietnam War Veterans and a group of Vietnamese-American human rights activists are joining forces to protest against John Kerry in an effort to keep him out of the White House.

The press release from Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry accuses the Senator, among other things, of blocking U.S. legislation aimed at pressuring Hanoi to reform in favor of human rights and religious freedom.

There’s been a lot of mud slung Kerry’s way recently, and I’m not yet sure what to make of any of it. I have my reservations about John Kerry (for one thing, he voted in favor of the PATRIOT Act), but I plant myself firmly in the “anyone but Bush” camp. If it comes down to it, I’ll vote for him on election day. I may have to hold my nose while I fill out my ballot, but I’ll vote for him. Meanwhile, I’m going to be looking further into the various allegations against him by his opponents and various interest groups. I’ll post my findings here later.
