I just learned that my budget has been mostly spared from the inevitable round of cutbacks this fiscal year, losing only $300 instead of the $2,300 I’d feared it might. Better yet, I persuaded the Powers that Be to put my APRA conference budget under my own control instead of making it part of the pooled departmental training budget. This means I’m definitely going to Toronto next month.

Better brush up on my rendition of “O, Canada”!
