Download it: The Party Party — Dick is a Killer (3:52, MP3/192kbps/5.31 MB) Unfortunately, I’ve had to take down this song due to the heavy toll it was taking on my bandwidth allowance (7.3 GB in March 2005 alone). You can still find the song on the Party Party web site or the artist’s AudioStreet page.

I believe that god made me a woman.
I feel it in my heart,
And this bitch’s voice must be heard.
A sex change is the only certain way
To preserve the sanctity of marriage.
We are living in historic times.
We are living in a time of great change.
Our leadership and resolve
Can light the way for others.
And having come this far,
And in the unfolding of the years,
This country has a new friend
Called Shirley W. Bush.

May God continue to bless America.
Word.

from The Party Party — Dick is a Killer (lyrics)

Believe it or not, those words all come from the mouth of President George W. Bush. Sampled and remixed over a loopy techno dance track into a tale of homoerotic obsession, war and corruption, they form the foundation of what may be the most hilarious political parody song of recent times.

Claiming responsibility for this wickedly funny tune are The Party Party, a group or person specializing in such politically inciteful mash-ups. The Party Party web site offers a couple of their other songs for download. Neither of those quite matches the brilliance of “Dick is a Killer,” but “KGBtv” — a remix of Fox News Channel’s already laughable anti-French propaganda and general fear mongering — comes very close.

I originally downloaded this song in mid-April, when it was first making the rounds on political and humor blogs. I meant to post about it then, but the artist(s) pulled all songs off of the web site for a time. The change seems to have been spurred by a bandwidth problem (the site now encourages visitors to share the tunes with friends “due to technical considerations”). When it first happened, however, they put up the message “This site has been closed pending an investigation by the US Department of Justice.” I love these guys.

Note that the MP3 linked above is the original 192kbps version offered on the Party Party web site in April, not the 128kbps version there now and available for download elsewhere on the web. I bring you only the best; that’s how much I care. I had to remove the download because it was taking up so much bandwidth every month. You can still find the song on the Party Party web site or the artist’s AudioStreet page.

Warning: This song is not remotely work-safe, and I recommend you wear headphones if you’re going to listen to this at the office.

Thanks are due to Mewsic for bringing this song to mind again and spurring me to check back at the band’s web site.

And hey, if you like the song and have $15-20 to blow on support of the arts, you can pick up a “Dick is a Killer” t-shirt, mouse pad, or coffee mug from the official Party Party CafePress store.

  1. Hi, I liked it because I believe that most people-with the exception of Dick Cheney-have SOME good in them no matter how much bad. But that guy’s just an evil toad.

And you know about the closetry that goes on within the upper echelons of the Republican Party now? Well I’ve exercised to it several times tonight and thought it was funny.
