I Hate Not Having a Car
Hate. Hate. Hate. Hate. Hate.
With the white-hot intensity of a thousand burning suns.
I’m seriously considering ditching my plan to save up enough for a down-payment on a decent vehicle, and just shelling out $1,000 or so now for a shitbox that’ll take me back and forth around town.
“No,” I tell myself. “That will only cost more in the long run.”
Fuck.

Welcome to my world.
I don’t have a car, but, at least, I live very close to the MetrĂ´ (subway).

Yeah, if I lived in a larger city with public transit the whole thing wouldn’t bother me so much. I’ve spent summers in Chicago and Madison with no vehicle and got by just fine.
In small town USA, however, a car is practically a requirement. Not only is there no public transportation, but everything’s also way too far apart to hoof it!

I hate not having a car!! And in city college it seems as if I am the only one who walks and takes public transportation!! the essay questions are about school parking problems,I hate hearing people complain about thier cars when i would give anything to have car problems because that means i have a car!! its like shutup it could be worse, public transportation is not that great in L.a its soo crowded at the bus stops, and god forbid you have to be somewhere around 3 o clock because that means the bus is crowded with minors getting out of school, so im squished next to a complete stranger inhaling thier body odor.Whenever I have to walk somewhere I feel as if people in cars are directing thier eyes towards me rather then the road! Im just a pedestrain!! is it really that interesting watching me cross the darn crosswalk, being splashed by inconsiderite drivers on rainy days and honked at by pervs is enough to make a girl go mad!! just do me a favour for the folks with cars if you have a car issues keep them to your selves!!!!!!

I don’t know about you, but I prefer not to have a car. I live in NYC where public transportation is a glory, especially during the holidays. Yes, I have had a car there too…but gave up on the tremendous stress that accompanies it e.g traffic jams, broken tires, gas hikes, no place to park, augh!!!
So I prefer not to have a car. Why add extra stress to my already stressed-life. Ha, my daughter can get the car and drived me around (when she’s old enough to drive, and IF she wants to!!) lol
