I wrote the due date! I don't know how I lost it. Anyway, it's due October 5th. Officially. Though I think it will be earlier than that.

I don't know how pricey it is, but the Windmill Inn has nice rooms, is adjacent to a weekly farmer's market, and is on a major north-south thoroughfare.

In general I would avoid any hotel whose address is on Stone Avenue, as they all seem a little seedy to me.

If you haven't bought airfare yet, you can sometimes save a crapload of money by flying into Phoenix and taking a shuttle down to Tucson. Then again, if you can avoid Phoenix, it is often good to do so, as they are notorious for crappy security.

If you are here on a Saturday and have any energy at all, you must go to the Sonoran Desert Museum, which stays open until 10 on Saturday nights, when it's nice and cool(er) and you can see all the nightlife.

so.... when?

Late this month or early next month, depending on how things shake out. I'll keep you posted.

Any recommendations for good hotels? Other Tucson tips?

Ummm, no, you didn’t mention anything about being in Tucson soon. What’s up?

It has to do with my mother's health, which has taken a major turn for the crappy lately. It's a long story, but it boils down to a leaky and molding house, her allergies and asthma, and the coughing up of a lot of chunky lung snot.

There's a specialist in Tucson who may be able to help her, and her allergist thinks the change of environment would do her some good. She doesn't want to travel alone in case there's a medical emergency, so I'm going with her.

And the due date is October 5th. :)

Cool! Do you know if you're having a boy or a girl yet? Your designated pregnancy page has ultrasound shots, but I can never make heads or tails of those things. :-/

And the due date is October 5th. :) Basically, just assume I got pregnant on New Year's and figure it from there. (Which would mean I got pregnant in my mother-in-law's house, which would probably thrill her tremendously if she knew.)

Finally, by the way, I haven't noticed anything squicky about my greenie address, so I don't know where the email problem is coming from.
