MySQL Desktop Tools

Knomad’s Expression Engine tips pointed me toward some interesting desktop applications for developers using MySQL. Query Browser helps you write and test SQL statements, browse query results, explore your database, and manipulate tables. MySQL Administrator provides user-friendly tools for system configuration and optimization, user management, performance monitoring, backup and restore, replication, and more.

Both programs are cross-platform. Versions are available for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS 10.3 or newer. The source code is made freely available for them both, so I assume they must be open-source programs.

(Props: These two posts from Knomad).
