Happy Birthday, Elizabeth
Happy 29th, Elizabeth. Thanks for inviting me to the party on Friday — I had a blast. I hope the next year holds good things for you. Next party, I say we follow up on Azra’s invention of Truth or Karaoke with an actual round of the game.
Party-night thank-yous, in alphabetical order:
Asrah — Anyone who can hold a coherent discussion of racial politics in film after six shots of Grey Goose deserves respect. Thanks for letting me crash at your place when I was a little too sauced to drive home. Sorry if I’m not spelling your name right. Corrected, thanks to her comment.
Dave — Thanks for being a great host, making tasty burgers, having a cool dog, and not caring where anyone smoked. You rock.
Teki — Thanks for the lift back to my car in the morning, and for interesting conversation until dawn. I still say I owe you a breakfast one of these days.

Truth or Karaoke!! YAY!! Makes me want to plan a party… badly.
SIX shots of Grey Goose??! Did you say SIX?? Jesus jumped up christ… add that to the rum drinks I drank earlier and I must have been marinating. That also explains why I passed out so damn early. We need to plan coffee or something.

Asrah, if you plan a party you can count me in. As for coffee — I don’t make it up to Wichita very often with my gas-guzzling $30-a-tank car, but I do need to go shopping and whatnot at least once a month there. Let’s stay in touch, and we’ll get together when I’m in town sometime.

Party, this Saturday, my place. Be there or be square.

Yeah, Elizabeth told me! I’ll be in touch via e-mail to get directions. Given my “condition” on my last trip there, I think my chances of finding it on my own are pretty slim.
