Happy 29th, Elizabeth. Thanks for inviting me to the party on Friday — I had a blast. I hope the next year holds good things for you. Next party, I say we follow up on Azra’s invention of Truth or Karaoke with an actual round of the game.

Kev’s words were just the thing I needed to read at the beginning of this particular week. As for my own aphorism — concocted earlier this month — I like to think that it makes up in pithiness what it lacks in eloquence. Maybe.
Yesterday I was working toward two deadlines — one during the regular workday, another after I got home — and I didn’t have a chance to post my happy birthday wishes for Colleen. She turned 32 yesterday, so be sure to stop by her journal and give her your condolences congratulations!
