Thanks for your suggestions, Nantel. Part of the reason it looks the way it does, though, is that it was a particularly overcast day.

Some contrast and color adjustment is inevitable since I have a cheap, crappy camera. I try to keep the images as close as possible to the way I remember them actually looking, though. I realize that some photographers feel strongly about this and others don’t. I can’t say it’s an ideological stance or anything, but it feels right for me.
