Spin the Black Circle: The process of sorting, play-testing, grading, and valuing Bill’s old records for
auction has imbued me with an odd second-hand nostalgia for vinyl. It probably helps that the format experienced something of a renaissance during my high school days. In this photo, I’m spinning Temple of the Dog’s 1991 promotional maxi-single. Containing three songs from the super-group’s self-titled album — “Pushin’ Forward Back,” “Hunger Strike,” and “Your Savior” — the record sold on eBay for US$12.
